Step 3: Install WordPress on Your Adult Hosting

Step 3: Install WordPress

WordPress is the right choice for your adult tube site. It’s free, powers 40%+ of the web, has massive plugin support, and is what Tube Dreamer is built on. Let’s get it installed.

The 5-minute install (via your host’s control panel)

Almost every adult host includes a one-click WordPress installer. The process is the same whether you’re on ViceTemple, Monarobase, or any cPanel-based host:

  1. Log into your hosting control panel (usually at yourdomain.com/cpanel or via your host’s dashboard)
  2. Find Softaculous Apps Installer or WordPress in the software section
  3. Click Install Now
  4. Set your install directory to / (root, not a subdirectory)
  5. Choose a site name, admin username, and strong password
  6. Hit Install and wait 60 seconds

That’s it. WordPress is now running at your domain.

Connecting your domain first

If you registered your domain with Namecheap but your hosting is elsewhere, you need to point the domain’s nameservers to your host before installing WordPress. Your host will give you two nameserver addresses (e.g. ns1.vicetemple.com). In Namecheap → Domain List → Manage → Nameservers, switch to “Custom DNS” and enter them. DNS changes take up to 24 hours to propagate.

First things to do after installing WordPress

  • Delete the sample post and page — Dashboard → Posts → Hello World → Trash
  • Set your permalink structure — Settings → Permalinks → Post name (important for SEO)
  • Install an SSL certificate — most hosts have a free Let’s Encrypt option in cPanel. Do this before anything else
  • Delete the default themes except Twenty Twenty-Four (or just leave them, they don’t affect performance much)
  • Install a lightweight theme — Kadence (free) is excellent and what this site runs on
